ISAMAA Party (ISAMAA) is a right of centre national conservative party whose aim is to ensure Estonia’s continuous and stable development. In the March 2011 parliamentary elections, more than 118,000 people in Estonia voted for IRL which ended up with 23 seats in the Riigikogu. IRL protects Estonian interests; Estonian national security is of paramount importance for us. Our supporters are those people who believe in Estonia and who want to improve life in Estonia as well as to create a better life for themselves and their families.
EPP GROUP
The Group of the European People's Party (EPP Group) is the largest in the European Parliament with 270 Members and 3 Observer Members from Croatia.
It brings together centre and centre-right pro-European political forces from the Member States of the EU.
Most of the parties represented in the EPP Group also belong to the European People's Party.
The EPP was the first-ever transnational political party to be formed at European level, and has the strongest representation in the European Council of Ministers. EPP parties came together to advance the goal of a more competitive and democratic Europe, closer to its citizens, and a social market economy.
INTERNATIONAL REPUBLICAN INSTITUTE
A nonpartisan organization, IRI International Republican Instituteadvances freedom and democracy worldwide by developing political parties, civic institutions, open elections, democratic governance and the rule of law.
European Partnership Initiative IRI and its partner, the European People’s Party, build links between leaders, government officials and think-tanks from the U.S. and Europe. These cross-Atlantic relationships develop multilateral support for democracy-building programs worldwide.
IRI launched the European Partnership Initiative (EPI) in 2005 to expand and strengthen the Institute’s ties with colleagues in governmental, party, and nongovernmental institutions in the European Union (EU) and in its member states. IRI’s close partners in this effort since the outset have been the European People’s Party (EPP), its party foundation the Centre for European Studies, and the member parties and foundations of the EPP family.
THE ROBERT SCHUMAN FOUNDATION
The Robert Schuman Foundation for Cooperation among Christian Democrats in Europe, founded in 1989, is an entity of the EPP Group in the European Parliament, registered in the Grand Duchy of Luxemburg. 'The Foundation for cooperation between Christian Democrats
in Europe shall pursue exclusively and solely non-profit-making aims, on the basis of Christian ideals and Christian Democratic policies.
Promote the training and further training of gifted young people of suitable character; provide political education; take steps to strengthen democracy and pluralism in Europe and the world; encourage international cooperation; make the results of its activities available to the general public by the production of publications; support moves towards European Union
KONRAD ADENAUER FOUNDATION (KAS)
Our most remarkable and long-term cooperation partner since 1994 is Konrad Adenauer Foundation
Freedom, justice and solidarity are the basic principles underlying the work of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS). The KAS is a political foundation, closely associated with the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU). As co-founder of the CDU and the first Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Konrad Adenauer (1876-1967) united Christian-social, conservative and liberal traditions. His name is synonymous with the democratic reconstruction of Germany, the firm alignment of foreign policy with the trans- Atlantic community of values, the vision of a unified Europe and an orientation towards the social market economy.
WILFRIED MARTENS CENTRE FOR EUROPEAN STUDIES (CES)
The Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies (previously the Centre for European Studies) was established in 2007 as the political foundation and official think tank of the European People’s Party (EPP). It embodies a pan-European mind-set based on centre-right, Christian Democrat, conservative and like-minded political values and research. It serves as a framework for national political foundations linked to member parties of the EPP, with 29 foundations currently members. The Martens Centre takes part in the preparation of EPP programmes and policy documents. It organises seminars and training on EU policies and on the process of European integration.
The Centre also contributes to formulating EU and national public policies. It produces research studies and books, policy briefs, and the twice-yearly European View journal. Its research activities are divided into six clusters: party structures and EU institutions, economic and social policies, EU foreign policy, environment and energy, values and religion, and new societal challenges. Through its papers, publication launches, conferences and online activities, the Martens Centre offers a platform for discussion among experts, politicians, policymakers and the European public. At the beginning of 2014, the Centre was renamed in honour of its late President and founder, Wilfried Martens, the EPP’s long-standing President and former Prime Minister of Belgium.
"MAAILMA VAADE" (WORLD VIEW)
"Maailma Vaade" (World View) offers opinions, overviews and analysis on different aspects of the international life and politics, and is published three times a year.Maailma Vaade is the only foreign policy magazine in Estonia, which has been published since 2007 three times a year in 3000-5000 copies per edition. The magazine is distributed for free to all universities, local governments, schools, and many subscribers all over Estonia, and is handed out during Pro Patria conferences and other events. The editorial board of the magazine includes Tunne Kelam MEP (IRL, EPP), Ambassador Mart Helme, Andres Herkel MP (IRL), Marko Mihkelson MP (IRL), Mart Nutt (IRL) and others. With the support of the Centre for European Studies (CES), the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) and the Pro Patria Institute, the latest edition of the foreign policy magazine "Maailma Vaade" is published also in English.
NORDIC CONSERVATIVE STUDY ORGANIZATION
Co-operation with the Nordic Conservative Study Organization (Nordisk Konservativ Studieorganisasjon) started in 1996. The most remarkable joint activities have been in the field of cultural exchange, education, environment and state defense.
